Website Redesign for NAARSO Turned out Amazing!
NAARSO came to me with a dinosaur of a website that was clunky, difficult to navigate, not visually appealing, and did not integrate with Wild Apricot, their membership database.
What NAARSO Wanted For Their Website Redesign
NAARSO wanted a website that was professional, clean, easy to navigate, organized, and most importantly, integrated with Wild Apricot, a membership platform for organizations such as chambers of commerce, HOAs, and more!
Some things they wanted to have were:
- Integration with Wild Apricot – member login, a place to register and pay online for membership, classes, certifications, etc…
- Organized pages explaining in detail how and when education and certifications could be obtained
- A database of members that was searchable by education/certification level
- A blog so that updates to safety bulletins could be broadcast easily and also searchable
- An FAQ page to cut down on the number of phone calls the office received
- Pages featuring staff, BOD, roles & responsibilities, the constitution, bylaws, code of ethics, sponsors & partners, event calendar, an online store, a contact form, useful links, photos, and more!
- They also needed a new logo to refresh their branding, so we worked with a local graphic artist to achieve the results and it looks so good!
- They needed a secure website so that it would be safe for customers to fill out their forms
- They wanted the site to be well-organized and easy to navigate
My Website Redesign Strategy for NAARSO
My strategy with NAARSO was simple. We had our kick-off call, and determined which pages from the old website were unnecessary and which ones they needed to keep. We then determined the new pages that were needed. After that, I organized them into logical navigational sections so that the dropdown menu was easy to navigate. We revamped the color scheme from just black and white to colors that were more visually aesthetic and professional-looking.
What I did to make this website redesign successful:
- Designed a well-organized site structure
- Kept the menu clean and easy to navigate
- Integrated with Wild Apricot – they got all of the features they requested: staff, BOD, roles & responsibilities, the constitution, bylaws, code of ethics, sponsors & partners, event calendar, an online store, a contact form, useful links, photos, member login, a place to register and pay online for membership, classes, certifications, etc…
- Made the website searchable for members to find what they need quickly
- New Logo (local graphic artist)
The Result of the Website Redesign
- The website is ranking on page one for its money keywords
- People are able to find what they are looking for easily
- People are able to join, register for classes, and pay online.
- They are able to easily update photos to the site by only logging into their Facebook account and uploading because it goes directly to their website as soon as they post to Facebook.
- The feedback has been great – fewer questions from clients about how to find what they are looking for which is saving them time by not having to teach them how to use the website. The members are able to easily keep track of their payments, registration, and certifications online.
